As a result of i´m utilizing some new strategies i made a decision to make a brand new video about portray figures. Particularly oil paints are an enormous enchancment. Half II will take care of oil paints and the completed figures.
The figures i used for this movies are from Andrea miniatures and present a Roman Centurion and a Legionary of the first Century B.C.
They give the impression of being precisely like the 2 protagonists within the collection “Rome” from HBO, my favorite TV collection. Scale: 54mm (1/32).
In my understanding this video is an replace to earlier movies i made about portray miniature figures.
The strategies proven on this video are simply my very own technique to paint figures. Skilled modellers won’t permit these strategies, however they work for me and that i´m normally very glad with the outcomes.

hello Hamilkar, great job,
I wanted to know which base you use for the skin, Revell skin, or lifecolor base?
also, what do you use for leather?
Thank you very much,
Arrigo

Thanks for this. I have used acrylic paint on canvas and paper for over a decade as an artist and I am now very interested in painting realistic models.
thats great to hear, thank you!
i think tamiya offers primer sprays, but its actually not really important what this paint contains, whether it is acrylic based or enamel based.
Thanks a lot for your answer. Can you give me an example of this special primer or what it should contain? I'm from Romania and I might find some different products names and I need to know what it should contain this special primer. Thx
i would prime the parts first with a special primer, then you have a stable basis for further work.
an* layer
Very nice work I really like it. My problem is, if you can help, I am painting my interior of my scale model plane with acrylics but even if I wait 30 min to 1 hour if I touch the paint a little harder is taking off. How can I secure and layer and to safety add some more little details on it? I'm really lost here this is my first build 🙂 Thx in advance
straight from the pot.
Wonderful work and a good instructional video. Could you tell me what type of paints you use and do you do any priming of the figure?
Regards
Hello Ham…..excellent work……

Awesome to se this…
check out the video answers down below.
Where is the next video?
@hollywoodwerewolf i use only glue without any pinning. works fine, even for 90mm figures. i use usual uhu super glue.
you use only glue? No pinning involved? Must be super strong glue.
