  1. I’ve been painting for a while, but always struggled with backgrounds/scenery. Recently decided to take on a desert scene project in memory of my Grandad to give to my mom. I’ve been so nervous with how it’s coming along, but this video is so amazingly helpful. I can’t wait to use these tips. Thank you for helping me to create this memory. 🙂

  2. Great videos. You explain, and show things very well. Makes it easier for those of us just starting out. Quick question…I notice you have several small jars of paints in your paint box. Do you mix up a lot of your frequently used colors, and store them in the jars? If so, do you add any medium to it, and what's the shelf life on it in the jars like that? Thank you 🙂

  3. I learned a lot from this one! I am painting an image of a sculpture sitting on the desert floor. The surface of the sculpture is rough, similar to the fine sandy gravel it sits on. The sculpture is white. How can I make the shadowed areas of the sculpture show this texture? Would I use the same methods for painting the shadows and gravel on the ground? Thank you!
