Easy methods to paint a straightforward surreal panorama in acrylics – pace portray w/ Lachri

Right this moment I am strolling you thru the right way to paint a quite simple surreal panorama. This might be an amazing portray for newcomers, or somebody extra superior who desires a fast undertaking to color.

I’ve used liquitex fundamentals with a little bit of liquitex heavy bodied clear mixing white on the balloons. I additionally used some white createx airbrush paint on the background, however you should use the clear mixing white for that if you do not have an airbrush. I painted this on a Fredrix Nature Core Linen paint board.

  1. So whimsical — I love your painting. For viewers who don't have a lot of mop brushes, soak a piece of paper towel with hand sanitizer and use it to wipe the mop when changing colors. It may not work with heavy body because it is so much thicker, but it works really well if you don't get the mop brush real wet. Hand sanitizer also works to clean paint out of the ferule so your brushes don't split. It's the alcohol that dissolves the paint.

  2. When I get done with these holiday paintings I'm gonna do my favorite one that is a surreal tiny canvas in a large canvas. Nice when someone gives you the green light to paint whatever for them lol. I'm in the straight string camp HAH. Very nice anyway!

  3. I came across your channel by chance and firstly watched your video about how you started out and your health. I too suffer from arthritis in my spine and hips as well as stomach issues and fibromyalgia so I can relate. I was a marketing manage up til five years ago but last year I got into crafting, initially card making and pocket letters. I've branched out since then into mixed media and art journaling. I have a background in art, I started out as a graphic designer before getting into marketing, but stopped doing anything art related many years ago, I really admire how you're self taught and your attention to details and composition are brilliant. I've never experimented with surrealism but watching this has made me want to give it a go. Your new subbie 🙂 x

  4. I absolutely love and appreciate how you describe what you are demonstrating. I'm looking forward to trying these techniques and colors for an effect i'm wanting to get on a project… Thank you for all that you share.

  5. Thanks so much for this Lisa! I think I'm definitely gonna pull the trigger on acrylics and oils this fall/winter and I'm inspired a lot by this simple process. Correct me if I'm wrong, but i seems like the brush technique for acrylics and oils isn't radically different, it's just the drying time and the layering differently, so I can definitely practice both simultaneously (on different pieces of course).

    Best,
    Joe
