It's all about style when it comes to art. I personally think this old man is absolutely adorable and gives some good points. Just because you don't like his style altogether doesn't mean you can't take part of what he is saying technique wise and use it. This is just a rough idea of what you should do. Obviously he isn't going to create amazing and in-detail fire in under 3 minutes.
