  1. Wow this is amazing! I didn't know you could make things look this good with just brushes. It looks great. Only things I would add would be a bit more dark/black wash on some of the small indents and a little detail on the tools and extra stuff.

Thank you for the tutorial. Saving this for future reference. Really useful since I don't wanna invest in an airbrush just yet.

  2. Great tutorial. I've been painting my polymer clay sculptures for a while and I always had issues with bright colors like yellow, so I'm glad I found something similar-ish to see how to properly apply layers for the color.

  3. Wow a lot of work but that’s why it’s a hobby not a toy .
Absolutely informative and inspiring as I see these results and marvel on how they are produced.
Off to the model shop for something simple first .
Be back referring to your video. 👍

  4. How come there appears to be no need for a layer of varnish between the acrylic base layers and the acrylic wash? Also, I was under the impression that if base layer is acrylic then wash should be enamel, as the acrylic wash would mess with the base acrylic layers. Cheers, from a very confused amateur modeller 🤣

  5. Great video thanks and good job. Got some very good ideas for a dusty finish and weathering to a BTR-80 I will soon start. I'm not a huge fan of spray paint and as you and several other modelers have shown, brush painting can be just as effective.

  6. Hello. I'm another fan who thanks you for the clarity of your videos. Two questions, please: (a) can you remember roughly how many layers of the base paint you applied in the Olive Drab colour before then moving on to lighten with Green-Brown? (b) When it's time to add to more paint, do you just add it to the same palette mixing pot, or do you move on to a fresh one? Does paint residue affect the 7:2 mixing ratio? Thanks.

  7. Great! Never heard about the soapy water! Btw how much time do you wait between each layer when applying the base colors? Also, my model color paints are extremely thick in the bottle, I can't even shake them before use. How do I solve this? I'm pretty new in these brand of paints, I use tamiya and gunze acrylics for airbrushing, but look for a paint for painting small details. Thanks!

  8. what an awesome video! what a great way of painting and weathering all with brush and acrylic paints! all the other model channels are all about 'hairspray chipping' and airbrush everything! although i do have an airbrush, I'm not very good with it and it's not a very airbrush lol. so I'm looking at doing more brush on effects then anything! thanks for the video!
