  2. All acrylic paint is water resistant and permanent when it dries. Acrylic paint is made up of plastic acrylic resin and pigment. The quality of the paint is due to better acrylic resin and pigment so it will be more vibrant and richer. So paint away on a washed, clean surface that has not had fabric softener added to the wash or dryer. That repels water which is an ingredient of acrylic paint. And wash new fabric before painting. Fabric medium helps the paint remain more flexible and be sure to heat set your dry finished piece. Only wash in cold water and hang to dry.

  3. I am a bit confused about the water resistance thing… I live in Germany and with every acrylic paint i've seen, they are by definition water based but not water soluble, wich means that you can thin them out with water, but once they are dry, they are dry forever… what i'd be more concerned with, is everything else when it comes to washing fabric. I'm talking laundry detergent and the fabric being thrown around and scraping on other things inside the washing machine. Acrylic paint becomes quite stiff, once it's dry, which means on a flexible medium like denim (or fabric in general), it becomes quite brittle (unless you are using fabric medium, of course) and is therefore proine to chipping off while getting washed.
So I guess my question comes down to: is the quality of acrylic paint really that important or are the laws in Germany (Sorry for just assuming, that you're not from Germany, but I've seen none of the products you're using before) more strict on what can be sold as acrylic paint?
