On this Acrylic Portrait portray I’m specializing in mixing and shading method with acrylic shade on paper. Mixing is often troublesome with acrylics. However on this video I’ve elaborated my strategies of doing mixing and shading utilizing acrylic with water as the one medium. No retarder is used for this portray course of.

I’ve began this portray with Burnt Umber and Cadmium Yellow Lemon for the preliminary layer. Then continuing with a number of layers of paint slowly including one after the other. Acrylic paint often dries very quick. To beat this problem I’m utilizing wonderful mist of water to maintain the paint moist longer. I’ve utilized many skinny layers to attain the specified impact of the pores and skin tone. A lot of the mixing is finished with dry brush method with minimal water on the palette.

  1. Wow so beautiful. Thank you for the nice tutorial. I like you posted colors you use it every steps. That really helps me. I am learning to painting portraits. I watched your couple of videos. It’s helps me to start.

  2. Very informative. Many other art channels emphasize that we should avoid blending and use brush strokes instead. I have found that difficult to adhere to, but maybe it was because they were using oils and I use acrylics. Is that the difference, do you think?

  3. My acrylic colours have very thick consistency and when i try to make it little bit dilute it somehow completely turns into a watery consistency even if I use a small drop of water that is so irritating…ughh…pls tell a solution to this prob..plss

  4. I paint with pencil only and a while ago I decided to start drawing in acrylic and I discovered that I am very bad at drawing with color..I have difficulty in blending and in showing the right color, most of my attempts at acrylic are bad and I look like a very beginner🤝👽

  5. I cant get over the accuracy of your brush stokes, your'e a true artist so talented. Thanks for showing skin tones although even with the tutorial I know it will be a lot harder than it looks to get the right colours let alone such brush work. brilliant can't get over it.
