This video was shot utilizing the Canon VIXIA HF G20 HD camcorder.
Oml this actually worked! Tyysm! I was freaking out when I made a HUGE mistake on my painting so ty again!
You know this example is kinda weak since the color under and the error color are close, blue and dark blue, so it's easy to correct.
What would happen if you used red or another contrasting color as the error color?
Mine is completely fucked
Can you remove ink from paint with acrylic paint
It didnβt work I did everything you told me to do and it didnβt work
Is this I a joke I literally smeared black on my painting π
How can I fix a acrylic canvas painting that has all ready completely dried?
This was so helpful. I love quick sniper videos on how to fix problems. If you havenβt done a video on varnishing an acrylic painting, can I add it to your suggestion box. I will search after I type to see if you already have one. Thanks a bunch.
It works! Thank you so much.
Nice nails. I am working on another painting with a moon I do not like. I am starting all over on the moon part. Wish me luck. My sky is night time blue so my background is blue.
Hey I love watching your videos. But can you please do some video on fabric painting? Like a whole series on it. I searched and searched, but the other videos wasn't so helpful. I am sure if you decide to make video on this topic, it will be a blessing for us who are dying to know the technique and DO's and Don't. I fear my comment might go unnoticed. But please I am struggling a lot. Specialy with tissue(muslin) fabric. π₯Ί
How do I add things after I sealed a painting? Customer wants to add more grasses to the bottom of a beach painting I did. But I sealed it already with polycrylic and karma varnish.
I was happy with mine but I decided I lost too much dark. So I added black and let it dry. Then came back the next day and made it worse. I should have left it alone or started over and painted the whole panel board black like I started with. I got to move on spent too much time on this painting. I was trying to make a background with red clouds over black negative space. The first painting I got abstract clouds that looked like fingers pulling the center apart. Now it looks like tongues all over the place. At least I got some photos before I ruined it which is all I needed anyways. I can change some things in photoshop. My background is for a cd/vinyl ep I am designing. I have a more difficult painting to move on to realism of the bands mascot. I will make my values on my pallete before I even paint my subject. I have some graphite sketches I did as reference. I have more practice with graphite for obvious reasons, affordablity. Not that I haven't painted before I am use to using different paint than liquidtex basics. Liquedtex basics is new to me, and I am still getting use to using it. I like how it lays vibrant and shiny. My other paints I used till now are more opaque and lay flat.
I did a painting in acrylic and then went over it in oil which I do on some of my paintings. I forgot this painting was painted in oil and fixed a corner in acyrlic. Is there a fix?
Does nail polish work?
My parents said…….. To bad i wasnt acrylic paint
How about using liquitex heavy body acrylic
If you painted a picture yesterday or whenever. And you noticed it today, you can use vodka with a Q'tip and just take out your mistake And always even if it was put on like u just did, a Q'tip and vodka just as well. and it will not take dried paint of your painting unless you rub real hard.
how can I fix a canvas that is already dry? I don't like the background layer I made…
How do I fix a hole in the paint caused by not letting paint cure and hitting it too hard while doing another layer?
Works a lot better with a terrycloth towel or old scrap of clothing that you're using as a rag now. Most paper towels while are absorbent, the additional patterned textures on them make it hard to lift water. I actually use tissues quite a lot for very fine areas.
Great Tip Lisa. Thank You. π
Great tip!Β TFS
i don't make mistakes im perfect! >:)
hey can u plzzzz teach us regarding skin tones in acrylic
hey lachri? I have a question. i have been using paint thinner (it's awesome by the way) to blend colored pencils and the brushes are white and they have been stained with the color, but their is no color coming off the brush, does that make sense? like I wash blending blue with the brush and the blue got on the brush but when I while off the brush no color is coming off it? should I clean it? because I mean it's not ruining my drawings but I'm just wondering
awesome tip love!!!! I do this all the time.. I use basics paints from liquitex, And sometimes the heavy or soft body paints..i am almost always able to lift some paint that smeers under masking tape (i do alot of masking tape art) I highly recommend liquitex basics..great prices and a very good paint π Thanks again love!! π
Might have been good to mention that this only works on wet paint. If acrylic dries at all it cannot be rubbed or dabbed off even if you add water. It must be peeled (which you wouldn't wanna do) or painted over.
very useful
I don't know much about acrylics and haven't painted much…………..so would this work for the first layer too or just other ones you're painting over?
Very nice tip π thanks for that π
I love you
Lisa, Great tip and advice. Thanks for all you do. Hope the heavy weather did not cause you any problems.
Your thumbnail face made my day!
You're awesome, Lisa π
Always love easy little tricks like these π
Even though you don't hear much about women being master painters I would consider you to be a master. Especially since you are great at any medium that's out there ( acrylic, oil, pencil, air brush ect.). Just amazing.
Hi I want t begin a painting of buildings of an English fishing village looking from the sea towards the buildings on land, I usually outline the buildings with a dark acrylic paint then fill in the various colour's of the buildings BUT the Hard edge I create before filling in always leaves a ridge, Is there a way to paint the building outlines before filling in the colour's so the Hard edge looks like it is ment to look i.e a thin shadow between the houses.
