  1. Like you, I have been drawing and painting horses my whole life. I bought my 1st. horse after graduating High School. I went to work on the race track and he was my ponyhorse. I too have done numerous portraits and finally branched off into wildlife before starting a career as a Grumbacher painting instructor after retiring. Thanks to Covid 19 I have one student. I recently bought an 18 yr. old Haflinger gelding. He is such a handsome guy so of course I have to paint him. I am quite annoyed at the results. It seems that after spending yrs. painting still lifes, landscapes etc. I lost my touch with painting horses! Thank you so much for posting this video. I would have liked it to be a little longer, but it certainly helped me see where I need to improve with my painting.
