The best sales of art on the web
Would be helpful, for me anyway, to see you actually paint while you’re explaining. I have trouble with placement of the lighter and darker colors…more specifics 🤦🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️😬
beautiful painting.
Upshot – Build up layers of Zinc White.
From what I understand, for those of us who use Liquitex heavy body acrylics, the transparent mixing white is the same thing as the Golden brand of Zinc white. jysk. If anyone knows differently, I'd appreciate the feedback.
What blue were you using? Which brand?
thank you
I always love your choice of colors in all your work just beautiful
You are the best
Sounds easy enough. Now I’m off to the art store to buy zinc white.
Esta bueno
zinc white has been proven not a stable pigment..as it will change over time
if you water down shit like a hillbilly your painting will flake, thats why this nuts on youtube and not a real artist bad advise and now people know his painting will fall apart in a year! lmao
pretty good , work on your clouds there always dark with sharp edges fade themout while paint is wet!
Thank you for sharing
loved this one, as always a great lesson – thanks so much
Wow! that 5 min video is packed with information.. ! Love it! ..
Im just kidding…
If you use acrylic, it doesn't matter if you use zinc, but if you paint in oils, stay as far as you can from zinc white. Studies have shown that the film it creates when it dries is brittle and it will flake of. You can use lead white (variations also called flake white, cremnitz white), or titanium white.
So good!
Tnx for this efect sekret:)i love light on paintings

So sick lol that perspective when he starts to use the zinc white with the brush and puts his hand to the canvas it makes his hand seem so far away lol. Could also be the camera but I just thought it was amazing

May i know what kind of blue that you are using for the sky ? 🙂
thats one of my favorite tips too! great for letting other colours bleed through
Thank you so much for the tip.
Very interesting! I'm new at this and finally, I have a very good point of reference on this particular pigment. I will be trying this out soon. BTW, the painting you are working on in this video has the most amazing colors – good job, Tim. Can I ask, where its home will be?
One secret no one will tell is the guidelines on how to determine cloud placement to get that rolling sky. You know , we learned one point perspective to make correct trees barns and stuff , but how do you apply that to clouds? No videos ANYWHERE on YouTube about that. Bummer. Will you do one? !!
Wow!!!! This was extremely helpful!! Thanks!!!
